Application Form Information on the '101' course smcp runs two day introductory courses - these short courses are known as the '101'. They introduce the theory and clinical skills used in TA Psychotherapy and begin to show how these can be applied to all human relationships as well as the psychotherapeutic encounter. How the '101' course is accredited This short two day course is fully accredited by the Institute of Transactional Analysis (ITA)and an official ITA accredited certificate will be awarded to all who complete the introductory course. The certificate will be sent to you directly by the Institute of Transactional Analysis within about two weeks of the course completion date. (This course is also known as the official ‘101’ course.) Course Content The '101' course is open access and introduces concepts that help us understand Human Personality, Psychotherapy, Counselling and the theory and skills underpinning clinical application. Two day courses are available at smcp throughout the year and are a prerequisite for all further psychotherapy training in Transactional Analysis. The 101 course is an opportunity to meet the Trainer/s and experience the learning environment and style of training as well as being good value for money. The course provides an introduction to the key concepts of Psychotherapy theory and practise using Transactional Analysis as the primary model. It offers ways of thinking about human behaviour, personality and ways of interacting with different personality styles and forms of communication. There will be opportunities to explore your own personality and relationships through teaching, experiential work, skills practise and small group discussion. Course Delivery The introductory course is available as a Two day course on weekdays and sometimes weekends. Dates/Cost 27th and 28th March 2013 - smcp 10.00am - 4.00pm both days (working lunch). If you are considering applying for the main training programme starting September 2013 then please contact Carol Lucas to express your interest/have a discussion and if you want a provisional place will be held for you and you can then apply for the main training after the next 101. There will be no obligation or commitment. 22nd and 23rd June 2013 - smcp 10.00am - 5.00pm both days (1 hr for lunch). This '101' will be delivered by: Hayley Marshall BA Hons MSc CTA PTSTA UKCP Reg Psychotherapist at smcp 27th March and 28th March 2014 - smcp 12 midday - 6.00pm on 27th March 10.00am - 4.00pm on 28th March You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch and eat at smcp. smcp is based within the heart of the village of Heaton Moor and there are many places to eat out and or buy food. These days serve as an introduction to TA and its applications and are suitable for anyone considering applying to begin the main training programme or if you are interested in finding out ways of thinking about yourself and your relationships. Lunch is included at north wales centre for psychotherapy and accommodation is available on site on request. Private, indoor, heated pool open all day.
